Mountain -- Serious and stylish snow boot - I got these boots as a gift for my brother-in-law. They had -20 degrees winter this year and my sister asked me to find something for those really cold snowy days. I looked for a while and finally picked these Baffins. They are actually slightly heavier than I expected, but the extra insulation is removable. They are even kind of stylish for this kind of boot.
I bought these for my son to use in the Michigan winters. I thought he would refuse to wear them because they were rubber boots and not something you see advertised on MTV. Surprisingly, he had no problem with them. He actually liked them. I think the darker color made the difference. They don't look as dorky as the plain green boots look. Personally, I like my dorky green boots, but I'm not 13. Overall, these Hunters are a good pair of quality boots that should give years of wear. They do not have the old fashion wool felt liners like the Kamik Hunters, but as a result, they are a little lighter and have the same temperature rating. They have a liner, but it is made with synthetic materials. I like the wool liners so I bought the Kamik Hunters.
Fire -- Wow!! I bought these boots for my son that runs a grounds snow crew, he said that after snow blowing and shoveling a hour he thought his feet were frost bitten with his old boots.since I picked up these Baffin Fire boots. He has been SO thrilled!!! He said that it doesn't matter how long he has been out in the snow, he has never felt any coldness on his feet or lower legs. EXCELLENT!!! I never look for any footwear anywhere else...your stock is overwhelming and your service to your customers can NOT be beat ANYWHERE ELSE!! Thank you again, and again!!!

What width & size are you?
The general rule is that standard Men's width is D. For Women, the standard width is B. If most of the shoes you have purchased in the past have a comfortable width then go with the default.
If the shoes you are wearing feel overly wide, you should consider selecting a narrower width size. Shop For Narrow Shoes.

If your feet seem "between" sizes and you cannot decide which size to select, we suggest you choose the larger size. You can make adjustments for a better fit with socks, insoles, or a different lacing pattern.
Try shoes on later in the day when your feet are at their largest.
Sizing Tips
The heel should not slip, the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe area to wiggle your toes.
Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
Feet typically get bigger with age. People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big.
Boots are often worn with bulky socks, while sandals are hopefully not. Sizing may be affected with how much extra padding you have.
Heat makes your feet swell and cold may shrink them. Think about temperature when choosing sizes.
Fully utilize a the return policy by ordering multiple sizes, then keep what fits best and return the rest.
