Laser -- I like my pair for climbing the Black Hills granite - I am basically a climbing rookie. I bought these shoes last fall on my first climbing experience primarily because they fit my foot more comfortably than any of the other 3-4 pair of various lower cost climbing shoes I tried on. That weekend I climbed 4 or 5 times (top roped) on pitches ranging from 5-4 to 5-7 throughout the granite outcrops of the Black Hills. This past Memorial Day weekend '07 I climbed the granite of the Black Hills again; this time with pitches up to 5-8 or 5-9. I like the shoes now that they are starting to fit my foot a little better (maybe my foot is fitting the shoe). Granted I don't have any other point of reference, so take this review for what it is: One beginner climber’s opinion.
Crux -- A sensitive shoe. Slightly asymmetrical, very precise. I like the placement of the straps, especially the one higher up allows you to fit the heel and arch snugly. The tongue is fat; it seems to add some comfort, without any loss of sensitivity. Like all Boreal shoes, buy them in your street shoe size, they will be very tight at first, but will stretch about 1/2 a size within a month of heavy use.
Zen -- Great shoe - I love this shoe. The toe on them was great--very sharp. I'm wide in the fore-foot and narrow in the heel, and they fit great. I guess the rubber could've been a little stickier, but the comfort of the shoe more than made up for it. Now that I've worn them down, I'm going to get them re-soled with five.ten rubber, and they will be, possibly, the best shoe ever.

What width & size are you?
The general rule is that standard Men's width is D. For Women, the standard width is B. If most of the shoes you have purchased in the past have a comfortable width then go with the default.
If the shoes you are wearing feel overly wide, you should consider selecting a narrower width size. Shop For Narrow Shoes.
If the shoes you wear tend to feel narrow, then you should consider selecting a wider width size. Shop For Wide Shoes
If your feet seem "between" sizes and you cannot decide which size to select, we suggest you choose the larger size. You can make adjustments for a better fit with socks, insoles, or a different lacing pattern.
Try shoes on later in the day when your feet are at their largest.
Sizing Tips
The heel should not slip, the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe area to wiggle your toes.
Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
Feet typically get bigger with age. People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big.
Boots are often worn with bulky socks, while sandals are hopefully not. Sizing may be affected with how much extra padding you have.
Heat makes your feet swell and cold may shrink them. Think about temperature when choosing sizes.
Fully utilize a the return policy by ordering multiple sizes, then keep what fits best and return the rest.
