Castaner was established as an espadrille manufacturer in 1776, in Banyoles, Catalunia, where it still operates. The business was then passed on to the oldest son, and has been in their family ever since. Castaner's Ariane - This shoe is just gorgeous to look at...and very sturdy! --though it has a few issues. It runs narrow in the toe -but it's true to size - so, if you happen to get a size up to compensate -it will be too loose... and it is quite bottom-heavy. Anyway, if you happen to have long, narrow feet -you're in luck!
I like this Castaner brand; they make pretty espadrille-like shoes. This particular shoe is darling on the foot. I wear a size 10 and they make my feet look small because the front of the shoe doesn't extend out like a cruise ship. They are true to size. Parts of them are leather (trim, inside) but the top is corduroy. These really need to go on sale though!
I love these boots - These are gorgeous patent leather boots. The calf circumference is perfect for semi-slender legs and has a hidden elastic "vent" for normal or larger calves than mine. They look super stylish and are very comfortable. They are trendy but not to loud so I should be able to get years of use out of them. They seem well constructed. I am thrilled with these boots-

What width & size are you?
The general rule is that standard Men's width is D. For Women, the standard width is B. If most of the shoes you have purchased in the past have a comfortable width then go with the default.

Sizing Tips
The heel should not slip, the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe area to wiggle your toes.
Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
Feet typically get bigger with age. People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big.
Boots are often worn with bulky socks, while sandals are hopefully not. Sizing may be affected with how much extra padding you have.
Heat makes your feet swell and cold may shrink them. Think about temperature when choosing sizes.
Fully utilize a the return policy by ordering multiple sizes, then keep what fits best and return the rest.
