Converse - The Original. Chuck Taylor reminds you to be wary of imposters and pretenders. Insist on the Original - The Converse® Chuck Taylor® All Star®. Great American Shoes for over 80 years. Charles "Chuck" Taylor has one of the most famous names in basketball history. Taylor's name adorns the Converse basketball shoe, the most successful selling basketball shoe in history. Since its inception in 1931, more than 600 million pair have been sold. Taylor, who walked into Converse Chicago sales office in the summer of 1921 complaining of sore feet, persuaded Converse executives to create a shoe especially for basketball. In 1932, Converse added Taylor's signature to its trademark five-pronged star shoe in 1932, and sent its new "Basketball Ambassador" on the road to promote the sneaker. Initially, "Chucks" were only available in high or low canvas in either black or white, and sold only in sporting goods stores. The Chuck Taylor "All-Star" became the official basketball shoe of Olympic competition from 1936 until 1968.

We're a Converse family - These shoes are so cute. They're very flat, but I knew that they would be. I got these a size larger than my other pair because those sometimes feel a little tight. These are a little big, but that leaves me room to add in my arch supports, so then not only do they fit perfectly, but they also have some arch support in them! Just a side note, if you're accustomed to buying jeans that are long enough to wear boots with, they will drag on the ground when wearing these because there's no heel whatsoever.

Converse All Star-These shoes are amazing! I have been looking for a cute pair of sneakers, and well, I found them! I love that they come in navy, plus they look so cute especially with skinny jeans. You can wear them with anything! One downside - it kills your feet trying to break them in. When I first got them I had terrible blisters on my heel! But eventually that all went away, and now they are super comfy! Totally recommend these!

Amazing.I lovee my converse. They’re simply a timeless classic, and go with nearly everything. They're also really comfortable and since they're lace-up canvas, you can tighten or loosen them as much as you want, so you can wear them with thick socks in cold weather or thin ones in the summer.

    Width Sizing / Shoe Sizing

    Women's Shoe Widths
    4A 2A B D 2E 4E
    X-Narrow Narrow Standard Wide X-Wide XX-Wide
    Men's Shoe Widths
    2A B D 2E 4E 6E
    X-Narrow Narrow Standard Wide X-Wide XX-Wide

What width & size are you?

  • The general rule is that standard Men's width is D. For Women, the standard width is B. If most of the shoes you have purchased in the past have a comfortable width then go with the default.
  • If the shoes you are wearing feel overly wide, you should consider selecting a narrower width size. Shop For Narrow Shoes.
  • If the shoes you wear tend to feel narrow, then you should consider selecting a wider width size. Shop For Wide Shoes
  • If your feet seem "between" sizes and you cannot decide which size to select, we suggest you choose the larger size. You can make adjustments for a better fit with socks, insoles, or a different lacing pattern.
  • Try shoes on later in the day when your feet are at their largest.

    Sizing Tips

  • The heel should not slip, the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe area to wiggle your toes.
  • Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
  • Feet typically get bigger with age. People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big.
  • Boots are often worn with bulky socks, while sandals are hopefully not. Sizing may be affected with how much extra padding you have.
  • Heat makes your feet swell and cold may shrink them. Think about temperature when choosing sizes.
  • Fully utilize a the return policy by ordering multiple sizes, then keep what fits best and return the rest.
