For 125 years, Helly Hansen has been at the forefront of product development and innovation. Since 1877, when sea captain Helly Juell Hansen made his first "oilskin" waterproof jackets, the company has pushed the boundaries of fabric technology. Trust, protection and quality were the watchwords... the rest, as they say, is history. The footwear range is designed and developed in the innovative tradition of Helly Hansen. The collection encompasses technical details focused on comfort, traction, and water expulsion.

Helly Hansen Latitude 60 - Leather - Not Just a Boat Shoe - This great looking shoe is not just for boaters. This is a very comfortable shoe for walking around town in. It is a quality made shoe with very nice pebble grained leather uppers that will stand up over time. If you are looking for a comfortable athletic shoe that will stand out from the crowd, this is it.

Helly Hansen Trail Beater W - Excellent trail beater - I bought this shoe for hiking Arizona and Grand Canyon. It took it all: rock, deep sand, mud, water, and heat. Sand does get through, lots of it, but everything else it does great in. Dries fast. Excellent arch support and traction. I wouldn't wear them on a bare foot as recommended, but with socks on. Good for running, climbing, and hiking. Great shoe.

Helly Hansen Breakwater 2 Mid - Helly Hansen Breakwater 2 Mid - This is a very nice shoe and is beautifully made - looks like really good quality at moderate price. There is ample room in toe box, the sole is protective and should have good grip even on slippery surfaces. The green suede is really nice color, and the shoe makes the foot look slim. I wear orthotics, so I don't care, but the insole that comes with the shoe has no arch support at all, but it is removable so you can replace it with another one. I really love the shoe.

Helly Hansen shoes are designed with one major goal in mind – being waterproof. For all your footwear needs and waterproof requirements Helly Hansen does more than deliver. In addition to producing shoes and sneakers that will keep your feet dry and breathing in almost any sort of adverse conditions, Helly Hansen is also known for style. In most instances, the style of the Helly Hansen line is so attractive that the waterproof aspect of the footwear is almost secondary to the look and feel of a Helly Hansen design. Be the most fashionable guy on the fishing boat with a pair of Helly Hansen boat shoes. Run the track on the muddiest of days and care not with an attractive colorful pair of Helly Hansen sneakers. Put on a pair of Helly Hansen designed high tech climbing shoes and take to the mountains. You’ll never run out of places to wear Helly Hansen attractive, waterproof, laminated shoes – to work, to play or to live life on the edge, Helly Hansen is the way to go. For women Helly Hansen has a very attractive line of sneakers and running shoes that compare favorably with their line for men. However, in addition, Helly Hansen produces a great line of walkabout shoes that will turn heads no matter where you decide to walk. Whether you’re vacationing on the beach in Jamaica or treading the snow-covered streets of Aspen Colorado, Helly Hansen’s attractive walking shoes will keep your feet dry and comfortable in rain, snow and ocean spray. Never leave your feet up in the air – always travel with your stylish, trustworthy Helly Hansens.

    Width Sizing / Shoe Sizing

    Women's Shoe Widths
    4A 2A B D 2E 4E
    X-Narrow Narrow Standard Wide X-Wide XX-Wide
    Men's Shoe Widths
    2A B D 2E 4E 6E
    X-Narrow Narrow Standard Wide X-Wide XX-Wide

What width & size are you?

  • The general rule is that standard Men's width is D. For Women, the standard width is B. If most of the shoes you have purchased in the past have a comfortable width then go with the default.
  • If the shoes you are wearing feel overly wide, you should consider selecting a narrower width size. Shop For Narrow Shoes.
  • If the shoes you wear tend to feel narrow, then you should consider selecting a wider width size. Shop For Wide Shoes
  • If your feet seem "between" sizes and you cannot decide which size to select, we suggest you choose the larger size. You can make adjustments for a better fit with socks, insoles, or a different lacing pattern.
  • Try shoes on later in the day when your feet are at their largest.

    Sizing Tips

  • The heel should not slip, the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe area to wiggle your toes.
  • Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
  • Feet typically get bigger with age. People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big.
  • Boots are often worn with bulky socks, while sandals are hopefully not. Sizing may be affected with how much extra padding you have.
  • Heat makes your feet swell and cold may shrink them. Think about temperature when choosing sizes.
  • Fully utilize a the return policy by ordering multiple sizes, then keep what fits best and return the rest.
