Fall/Winter 2000 marked the debut of John Varvatos, a Men’s lifestyle collection comprised of tailored clothing, sportswear, furnishings, accessories and footwear. John Varvatos Mercer Boot - Great quality - Having loved my Mercer boots in brown, I decided to complete the set with the black pair. The boots are expensive, but the high quality, comfort, and classic look makes your investment a sound choice. Today's brands seem to be going to rubber or hybrid soles, so it’s always nice to find a pair of shoes made of real leather and looks like they have been made by a craftsman.
John Varvatos Stud Strap Loafer - Cool shoe, but beware of Sizing issues - My girlfriend hated my boring, run of the mill loafers and set out to get me a new pair, that didn't look like work attire. These are it. The stitching and the studs make this shoe very unique, but do so without making it look cheesy. The only issue is that the sizing is wayyy off of normal American sizing. I sent back 2 pairs because they were too large. Normally I wear a 10 1/2 - 11. In these, though, I am a 9 1/2. I have a very narrow foot, though. The point is that the shoe is very long. So, if you have a normal width foot, expect there to be a lot of extra length in the toe. For my skinny foot, these were a rare find, in that I was able to downsize and end up with a perfect fit
John Varvatos Vintaged Brogue - Very comfortable, unique color. Surprisingly comfortable right out of the box, requiring no break-in period. The color is distinctive without being too far out there for office wear. I highly recommend Varvatos men's shoes. They are very well made.
