LB EVANS was founded in 1802. LB Evans celebrates it’s 200th year anniversary this year. In 1804 Thomas and Amos Evans launched a small shoe business from there general store in South Reading, Massachusetts.
Thomas and Amos cut the leathers and supplied sole, counters, and heels to the people of the town who did the actual assembly.

I have been looking for a slipper that is extremely comfortable, keeps my heel in place, and won't make me look like I just walked out of a hospital as I feel traditional open-backed, rounded front slippers do. This is the one I have been looking for, these slippers fit the bill perfectly, they are great! They are very soft, warm, and cushy on the inside and are nice and snug on my foot. I feel like the toe area is a little bit too snug with socks though, but I had to return the next size up because they were definitely too big. Also these slippers are extremely solidly built. No poor craftsmanship here. I like the bulkier sole so that I can wear them outside without worrying about them. Finally, these are just some sharp looking moccasins. They just look nice with shorts or pants. You won't feel silly wearing these around company at all. Great, great slippers!
These are my husband's slippers. He wears a 13D and is very particular. He is particular about slippers and these seem to fill the bill. He is an engineer and not given to effusive comments about clothes (lol) but he really likes these.
Sussex - Cozy and Comfortable - These slippers are so comfortable; I would recommend them to anyone. I spend a lot of time on my feet and it's a joy to put these on. They also have a nice sole on them for taking the dogs out, or getting the paper. My mother liked them as much as I did, so I had to order a pair for her too.
