Mighty fine boot... I just received my boots and they are fantastic. Very comfortable right out of the box, I'm taking these to Europe...no need to break them in. The workmanship is way above average and the attention to detail is evident. They look great and are truly a quality rock and roll boot. You can't go wrong with these. The toe is typical of boots and shoes I've seen in Paris. They are long and pointed and that's why you can get away with a half to full size smaller. I bought mine a half size smaller and they're just right for my taste.
Not all MN boots are larger than marked size - Although these boots felt true to a size 12, the leather is such soft leather I decided to order an 11.5 (my foot measures a 12). I own two pairs of Mark Nason boots. I know they tend to run a half size large. My Gishen's fit this 1/2 size large profile. My Vibrato's did not (12 felt like a 12). When I first put on the 11.5 Vibrato I got to replace the 12's, I found them to be tight. After an hour of wear, they fit perfect and have continued to do so (leather stretched). Where as the Alicantes I bought in an 11.5 did not come close to fitting in an 11.5. I don't think a 12 would have either. It appears not all MN boots are 1/2 size large
