I have three pairs - This is my favorite shoe. I just keep ordering more as the seasons change. My latest pair is the black patent, which I get a lot of compliments on. They are comfortable right out of the box. If there is a slight pinching from the elastic straps, I just rearrange them and it's fine. I have walked all over cities in these and they wear really well. I think the person who said they didn't was fooled by the slight slant under the back of the heel. They come that way. Great shoes.
This is a great shoe. I bought it in silver, and it really does go with everything. The only thing...I felt that the little silver piece by the outside of your foot hurts a bit when you walk in these shoes for more than 3 hours. BUT, that's the ONLY thing. They are really cute and really comfy, and for a girl who lives in NYC and walks a lot, that is absolutely essential. These look very cute with leggings, tights/skirt, as well as with pants. Definitely buy a half to a full size larger. I am usually an 8, and bought a 9 that fit perfectly.
Great comfort - I love my brown Kassels- I wear them incessantly! My only complaint is that sometimes they rub on the top of my toes.
