Awesome shoes - These shoes are great! They look good and are really comfortable to wear. They fit just as other shoes do. The only downfall is the brown is a very light color, more so than I expected.
Comfortable and supportive trail shoe. The Pearl Izumi syncroSeek 2 boasts a seamless upper that, coupled with the shoes lacing system, provides a custom feel to the fit. The upper wraps around the foot and I don't have any issues with sliding forward too much on downhills--a problem I've had with other shoes. The shoe provides overpronators such as me with a the support I need for those long, long runs, and the sole pattern provides a decent grip in muddy conditions without becoming too clogged over time. My only complaint would be the weight compared to the inov-8 mudRoc 280s I continue to wear for shorter runs and really sloppy conditions, but the latter shoe has zero support and insufficient cushioning for anything longer than around 10 miles without experiencing foot pain.
Pearl Izumi hits a home run with the Guide - The Pearl Izumi syncroGuide’s are absolutely the best training shoe that I have ever owned. This is my third pair of Guides. I was previously in New Balance for the past 12 years. With 18 sub 3:00 marathons, training shoes are very important to me and Pearl has hit a home run with me.

What width & size are you?
The general rule is that standard Men's width is D. For Women, the standard width is B. If most of the shoes you have purchased in the past have a comfortable width then go with the default.
If the shoes you are wearing feel overly wide, you should consider selecting a narrower width size. Shop For Narrow Shoes.

If your feet seem "between" sizes and you cannot decide which size to select, we suggest you choose the larger size. You can make adjustments for a better fit with socks, insoles, or a different lacing pattern.
Try shoes on later in the day when your feet are at their largest.
Sizing Tips
The heel should not slip, the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe area to wiggle your toes.
Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
Feet typically get bigger with age. People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big.
Boots are often worn with bulky socks, while sandals are hopefully not. Sizing may be affected with how much extra padding you have.
Heat makes your feet swell and cold may shrink them. Think about temperature when choosing sizes.
Fully utilize a the return policy by ordering multiple sizes, then keep what fits best and return the rest.
